THE OCEANS NEED A SEA CHANGE
Absorbing Carbon, Generating Oxygen, Restoring Life to Oceans
We build engineered eco-reefs (and harness big ocean data) to rebuild resilient ocean ecosystems that give back endlessly
Our engineered reefs provide the platform to kick-start life and grow new flora (seagrass and algae) that absorb CO2
Our expanded habitats with coral and algae will flourish and produce oxygen as a result
Our reefs attract diverse attached and pelagic fauna (corals, fish, invertebrates), and flora, creating new biomass, habitats, and ecosystems.
We build reef ecosystems to support the more than 800 million people on this planet who depend directly on healthy coral reefs for their entire income, livelihood and food sources.
While an estimate published by the Boston Consulting Group valued global “ocean assets” at more than $24 trillion, marine ecosystems face dangers that put this value at risk – such as climate change, ocean warming, increased acidification, oxygen depletion, pollution, overfishing and illegal fishing. Innovative policies, strong business leadership, and disruptive technologies will all be essential to navigate towards a cleaner and safer future.
“The World’s Oceans are in trouble. And so are Humans, warns U.N. Report.”
“Oceans and ice are absorbing the brunt of climate change.”
“Climate change touches everything this newspaper reports on. It must be tackled urgently and clear headedly.”
Our eco-friendly marine architecture creates powerful positive environmental impact, knowledge, employment, academic research, and Blue Economic benefits for multiple industries and local communities.
At Blue Oasis Technology we directly address these challenges by supporting transitions towards a more sustainable development of the Blue Economy to benefit humans and nature.
Recognised as one of the major causes for disparity and threat to the very existence of life on our planet. Healthy coral reefs play an essential role in managing climates. Absorbing blue carbon and generating oxygen reefs play a vital role on planet earth.
Over the past 100 years armed conflicts were the number one threat towards mankind. Now habitat loss and destruction of biodiversity are seen as a major concern. Putting this into perspective, more than 60% of the global population depends entirely on seafood for all protein intake.
Almost 1 billion people on this planet depend 100% on healthy coral reefs for their livelihood. Reefs offer coastal protection, a wide variety of food sources, leisure and tourism income. Cultural traditions and beliefs developed around them over the past thousands of years. Without healthy reefs, these people will be displaced.
We create engineered reefs & harness Big Ocean Data that lead to ocean resilience and revitalised local economies.
Interstitial spaces of modules are designed to accommodate smaller species.
The tall vertical relief of our modules attracts pelagic fish.
A rapidly deployable system can enhance degraded reef habitat immediately
Designs to modify flow can stimulate growth of plants and animals and protects specific habitat niches.
Structures create complex vertical and tubular habitat(s) for reef fish.
Installations provide immediate protection for pre-existing corals and fish, as well as provide new substrate for new life.
The module design enables growth by both transplanting of corals and naturally settling larvae.
Planet Earth should be called Planet Ocean. We believe the only way to be successful and impactful is by scaling our solutions rapidly and globally. Our oceans cover over 70% of the planet’s surface.
We pride ourselves in having a solid truly global network that enables us to scale and manufacture our Engineered Reef solutions regionally and locally.
We have established presence in the Netherlands, Portugal and Singapore.
